Hi everyone,
 
A quick question : is it allowed to do some volunteering while your AOS is pending?
 
I did my research and it seems to be fine. But I just wanted to make sure because I don't wanna take any "risk".
Maybe some of you guys have some experience to share with me? It would be very much appreciated! (Because you know how it is : the process is so loooooong and I'd really like to find a meaningful activity).

Volunteering should be fine, as long as there's no back end reward like a substantial "gift" or other compensation.

 

Even then, it is usually the IRS that has restrictions on gifts and other valuation of volunteering work.
