It has currently been a month and a week since I submitted RFE. The RFE consisted of I-944 (which is now removed), and the birth certificate (which they had probably lost from the original packet). What is the procedure?

I also see a place on the website for Case Inquiry. Is that what I want to do? Do they even look at it within a week?

Would really appreciate some advice.

Check the status of your application online, you might see an indication that the documents have been received.

After that you just have to wait.

I think you have to give them about 90 days.

This is what it shows me when I check status online:

Request for Initial Evidence Was Sent

On December 9, 2020, we sent a request for initial evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number _________. The request for evidence explains what we need from you. We will not take action on your case until we receive the evidence or the deadline to submit it expires. Please follow the instructions in the request for evidence.

We sent our RFE on March 22nd and they showed receipt on the 29th. They also sent a letter to the house about immunization. I'm thinking a month is a little long  as we also sent to the Chicago Lockbox.

The online agent we chatted with said it can take up to 60 days in some cases. He said the case status online may not always update so if USPS shows it was delivered, then it was received.

Still makes me anxious though..
