I don't think anyone is receiving NOA2 in 5 months. I saw in the Visa Journey Progress report some people reporting January or February NOA1 and July NOA2 but when I look further into it they are misreporting their NOA1 Notice date instead of receipt date. In End of year 2020 there was a lot of delayed NOA1s.

I sent my K1 in December and didn't receive NOA1 until March. The Notice Date  was in March but the Received Date was December.

This person is one we know personally but she also hired a lawyer for this step who submitted it as an emergency request.  She received NOA1 on February 15 and received NOA2 July 28.  Will be interesting to see how fast she gets through  NVC or if it sits like ours.

When did she submit the k1 application is the question. When she physically received it doesn't matter because there was a delay in sending out the noa1s in end of year 2020. The delay was several months.

I'll check exact dates but I think it was end of the year.

There's a rumor about the RDJ consulate stopping the interviews for 2 months. I don't know whether that image is official or not. Do you guys have any official info on this?

The embassy was supposed to open up in general in July for general visas. Perhaps this is referring to non-k1 visas?

We just received notice today that our K1 is finally leaving NVC and is in transit to Rio. Hope this means everyone's cases will keep moving along soon as well.

Congratulations thank you for the news.

Yes we got the update from the website.

But like, I'm not talking about the notification saying that the visa was sent to the consulate. I'm talking about the actual letter from the consulate to the beneficiary with instructions for the interview and the good to go for the beneficiary to schedule their interview. Without getting it you're not supposed to schedule the interview. And also the Packet 3. My NOA2 is from september 2020 and I still haven't gotten it.

Oh no,  we haven't received the physical packet yet.  I'll provide an update once we do.

Our lawyer also received the notification to confirm that everything in our original submission is still accurate.

Did the consulate say anything about your package and why it is delayed?  I've seen other couples who have gotten interviews and had NOA2 after yours.

Will send an update soon.

Still didn't receive a physical packet but received another email from the consulate about completing the DS-160 and scheduling an interview.

Will update this once again if we get the packet soon.
