Still waiting on GC interview have been sitting at "case ready to be scheduled" since August 2nd 2021

This is very close to our timeline.  We are also Atlanta.  I keep hoping they will 'produce card' without interview.

I think so, but I met a few people on reddit whose interviews have also been waived and some of them have been married less than 2 years.

it just seems like this is what Brooklyn FO is doing right now to speed up the process.

I suppose if your application looks legit they'll try to waive it.

Good luck!!!

Brooklyn was one of the most backlogged offices and thats why they started waiving interviews.

Hope your office starts doing this too to speed it up for everyone.

yeah the processing times.

Brooklyn processing times are 17.5 Months to 41.5 Months as we speak.

But mine got approved in 11 months, and 5-6 other people have the same experience in Brooklyn office.

so don't quite trust what you see on that website.

I'm preparing for my Interview. I have one question. Wondering if anyone who already had their interview or who know can help me.

In the letter they mention de Affidavit of support, the latest Tax return and paystubs, if you haven't send it yet. we send it along with the I-130 but it was the W2 from 2020, does that means that we need to do the W2 of the latest year (2021) as well or I just need to omit that bullet of the required documents?

Thanks in advanced!

I just got my interview scheduled notification also, awaiting mail! Is there a guide for the prep or what we should bring to the interview?

The letter is gonna come in 3-7 days. You have about 3 weeks to prepare. They’re gonna say in the letter what to bring. Whats more important. Also bring all the paperwork with you just in case they lost some and need it, and extra evidence that you have since you submited the files. Congrats!!🍾

That's great. Congratulations!
So as they said, you are going to get the formal letter on the mail stating the date, time and office of the interview (in a very basic way) everything you will need to bring the day of the interview including that original letter.

They request for the evidence in one of the bullets, so you should start gathering EVERY document that you have with your spouse where both names are stated, and pictures you have with other people like friends or in-laws or your parents if possible. The interview is basically to proof that your marriage is in good faith and real.

Good luck and keep us updated

Dear all, the forums on this website have helped me a lot. I am waiting for the final approval letter from USCIS for my j1 hardship waiver. Next, I will be applying for AOS, marriage based. I have had a terrible experience with my ex lawyer and I really want to do AOS on my own. My question is, is it easily doable with no lawyer? Thank you!
