Congrats!! that's very soon!

if it is possible the info, do you know how many days after your NOA you got this on the mail?

Sure, my NOA1 was April 6 and the biometrics appointment letter is dated June 3. USPS delivered the letters to my house today, June 16.

Is it just me or do EB1 applications get their biometrics (and PD) much faster than family-based IR-1 applications?

Anyone here on IR-1 (family-based, immediate relative spouse) who has received a biometrics appoint?

My application has PD 04/13/2021 and number `MSC21912XXXXX`, so it's being processed at the NBC processing center, and no word of biometrics yet :(

I think you may be in the wrong subforum. This thread is for those who are already inside the US, adjusting from other visas. If your visa is IR-1, there is a separate subforum for that where you can get better answers.

I was advised by a knowledgeable person to call USCIS and check on the status of our biometrics appointment.  Apparently there had been several people who 'missed' their biometric appointments, but had never gotten notification of the appointment.  USCIS AOS package received date 4/08/2021.  No biometrics had been scheduled.  I called today and got a live person who said that our account showed biometrics appointment had been scheduled, but "cancelled per request".  Of course, we didn't do this.  The representative forwarded this matter to a tier 2 supervisor who is to call me back.  This is concerning.

omg this is alarming, thanks for sharing... but who cancelled, because to what I have read is that if the person doesn't go to the biometrics they can cancel your case. Are you checking your MyUSCIS Account?

Yes, I also checked it on my online account and there is nothing about an appointment.  I'm just waiting on a callback, which to be honest, I already know that I"LL be the one calling back.  Fortunately, the the representative told me that the appointment date was scheduled for June 29.  So, it's still in the future, but shows as cancelled.  I will get this straightened out!

I am inside the US on a F1 visa adjusting to get a green card as a IR-1 (spouse of US citizen). Am I in the right forum thread?

oh my, ive been in the wrong place this whole time :( Thanks!

wait, no I think you are confused, if you are inside the US with a F-1 Visa and is adjusting status to get a GC, you are not a IR-1/CR-1 visa because I think that is for immediate relative that is not in US territory

I never noticed the chain of categories to be honest. I think this one is the most appropriate since it's in the K visa category:

I see, I understand better now - when IR1 is mentioned, it is usually taken to mean the IR1 spousal visa that is granted outside the US. People who enter the US with the CR1 or IR1 visas will receive green cards that also read CR1 or IR1.

On the other hand, people who enter on different visas (example, myself, on a B2 visa), and adjust status based on marriage to a US citizen, will eventually receive a green card with the tag CR6 or IR6.

Since you're already in the US on an F1 visa and are adjusting based on marriage to a US citizen, you're in the right place :)

Yes, this is correct for F1 AOS.
