Thank you for these encouraging words.   I do feel like I am starting to descend into a pit of despair which doesn't help anything. so I will do what you said and stay positive!  Praying too! 🙏  I tried looking at timelines but only looked at those that had been approved.  I couldn't find anyone who was at Vermont!  I"ll look elsewhere on the site.  So what should I list now as my processing center?  Should I say it was transferred to Vermont?  They say it was "transferred" on the day I submitted my i130 online, so for me that doesn't really constitute a transfer.

Yes, I too pray that the processing times are way overestimated and that transferring to Vermont was a neutral move or to help sperd along things.  One video i saw on Youtube said to not look at processing times on USCIS. I pray for all of us for quick processing.

This same thing happened to us...filed August 30th got NOA digital and in the mail that it was at Nebraska...called last week was told it was moved to Potomac days after I filed and I had no idea. It was incredibly discouraging. Can only hope that we get some kind of news soon.

Same here - found out last night we were also moved to Potomac shortly after filing. Totally crushed because here I was thinking we were getting close to being reviewed but not yet. Hang in there.

Oh gosh, I hope you hear something very soon! 🤞

Look at the disparity between the processing times!😱 😱 😱

USCIS Processing Center Times

California 19-25 months

Nebraska 2-7 months

Potomac 12.5-16.5 months

Texas 9-12 months

Vermont 28-36 months

Vermont seems to be the collector of complicated cases by internal USCIS memos. Perhaps besides those they do "easier ones" to ease the workload of others?

We have learnt yesterday that our case was transferred from Potomac to Vermont sometime last autumn. No USCIS info or update since NOA1 to Potomac in Nov 2019.

We were well beyond receiving date in Potomac but could not make an outside of processing time inquiry, then it turned out: surprise, we were transferred to Vermont.

My attorney forced her way through the aotomatic phoneline forwarding you to the website and managed to talk with a human being requesting a level 2 office to call back.

Keep us posted! - Would you consider your case a "complicated" case?

We were transferred to Vermont and our case couldn't be any more straight forward.  There is nothing complicated whatsoever about it.  Married for 6 years with a daughter.  Husband and daughter are American Citizens living in Canada with me (I am a Canadian Citizen, my daughter has dual and my husband is a Permanent Resident of Canada).  No criminal records, no previous immigration applications, no over-stays on visas, etc etc.  It's just me who needs the visa to move to the USA.

I think the hardest part is never knowing why things happen with our applications or how long it will be.  :(

Trying to be positive. If you look at the VISAJOURNEY timelines...Vermont is ahead and it would make sense that our cases were transferred there.  I really after all the comments made here and lawyers on Youtube, USCIS does not update their timelines on their website. I'm staying positive. We submitted June 2020 so it hasn't been a year yet. But I will continue to research and look for more information on Vermont you know.  We are like our own little detectives..

It's true!  It's very hard to be in limbo, especially since your case seems very straightforward.  Hopefully we will all be processed sooner than we think!  Today's (April 23, 2021) VJ current processing times paints a very different picture than the USCIS official projected processing times.  According to VJ they are processing i130 dated Dec 1, 2020.  I'm guessing VJ's estimate is based on actual petitions?  I looked on another thread about the Vermont Service Center and I found where a lot of cases had been transferred to Vermont, seemingly in a batch, and it was people who had been waiting for about a year before being transferred to Vermont, and then their cases were processed in a matter of a few months.  It was very reassuring!  I would still love to know, have any of you VJers being processed at Vermont actually been waiting the wait time that USCIS predicts (28-36 months)?  At any rate, best of luck to you and your family! :)

I'm sorry for the discouraging news :(  Hopefully it will turn out to be a blessing in disguise!  I want to believe that the USCIS genuinely wants to process through cases in the most efficient means possible, as they claim on their website, in which case any move is to speed up processing time of cases.  It seems logical.  Best of luck to you!

So, I checked USCIS Vermont Processing Times today and it seems to be moving backwards?????

On April 5th 2021 it showed they were processing APRIL 2018 I-130 Applications.

I checked today April 26, 2021 and it shows they are processing MARCH 2018 I-130 Applications?

What is going on??? Do I laugh at this?

Would you consider your case a "complicated" case?

e.g. Vermont is referred as special a centre of expertise for special cases (an internal USCIS memo refers AWA related cases there).

No, we should not be complicated.

Had a chat with my attorney today, she said there are very odd/new/surprising USCIS behaviours lately.

Cases that previously took 2 years are approved in 3 months (not I130), others are done in 1.5 months instead of 9 months, this's never happened since she works in this field. Their knowledge is: USCIS getting the pressure and mandate to reduce backlog and process cases faster. That is promising of course, but being moved into Vermont, without any notice or reason is just not ok.

Mesmeririzing that my petition was moved to Vermont, while 2 other I130s filed by my attorney on the same week for others also allocated to Potomac were approved 2 months after my transfer in Potomac.

Hard not to think that unless this unwarranted 'workload rebalancing', my petition would have been approved already. Level 2 officer could not answer why they moved it beyond workload rebalancing, as our case it not complicated.

Hope sarabou17 is right and the rebalancing is speeidng our long standing cases up.
