So we are in a weird situation right now. Our AOS appointment is on the 22nd of this month and our house closing is on 28th. Unfortunately we have been living in hotels/airbnb while we wait for our house which has gotten delayed a couple of times due to supplier issues with the build.

Before the interview I have to fill out a couple of forms like the affidavit of support which asks for residence address. Do we put our future house as the residence address and let them know that we are not moved in yet? Or is that not a good idea? I can bring the house contract that has my name on it. Or do we just put in our airbnb address and let them know the situation if they ask?

I agree, since the closing is scheduled, and I expect you are highly confident of your very near future address will be this new house, I would use that address and explain it at the interview.

Good Luck!

The form has provision for mailing and residential address.

I would fill out multiple copies, explain the situation and submit the one that makes the most sense to the immigration officer.

I think you will end up submitting the one that has your future home as your residential address.

Just be prepared on the off chance you need the other one.

also yes have the contract just in case too.

Good luck
