Hi everyone, I'm new here and have a question concerning the I-134. I know you guys can't provide concrete answers, but any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am a student and currently do not meet the proverty guidelines to support my fiance. I have asked my parents, and combined they meet the income level for support, but not seperately. Both do have assets that bring them well over the level, though. I also have a close friend who makes above the 125% poverty guideline and have discussed sponsorship with him. My question is should I have my both my parents and my friend fill out the I-134 and send these to my fiance, or should I simply have my close friend do it? I'm just wondering whether it's better to have a few sponsors for the interviewer to choose from, or should I just send one?

Thanks to everyone who gives advice.

Just get someone who meets the requirements. Are your parents still married? I would think that, as with taxes, etc, that the household income - what they are concerned with - is fine if your parents together meet the needed level. The interviewer won't choose a sponsor. The interviewer just wants to see proof that the UKC won't be a public charge here in the US. Have you received your packet 3 yet? There is a page or two of information in there about how to show this - it includes the I-134 (most people do this) as well as other ways.
