In Morocco expired every 3 months from issued time

???

After 3 months they think your birth information will change?

Check Morocco DOS website to see if 'expired" birth certificates are acceptable.   Perhaps someone here on VJ with Morocco experience can respond? @Jeanne Adil?

his birth certificate still new

Morocco

That is hilarious but yeah i dont think that makes a difference with USCIS. all they want is birth certificate in the standard acceptable to them. you only need to send a copy of birth certificate

I agree with @SusieQQQ that they don't expire for visa purposes.

I do remember (not sure if that changed) Croatian certificates being valid only 6 months. But the reason behind was solely to gather more money from the people. Of course information on our birth, marriage, divorce certificates will not change LOL

Morocco must be like France:  technically, BCs do not expire, but when you use it for administrative purposes with Moroccan administrative agencies/branches, you need to present a BC that was issued in the last 3 months.

In France, the BC also shows in the Comments section all your life events: marriage, divorce, death etc... hence a BC that is as much recent as possible in order to capture your most recent "life status".

But for foreign administrations such as USCIS, a BC no matter the issuance date should be fine.

I thought birth certificates expired only when you were born again

Morocco birth certificate is only good for 90 days and has an expiration date'

country uses this to make the citizens apply over and over and pay the fees

just get the English translation done on current birth certificate and they will accept both Arabic and English

for the US birth certificates are good for life and do not expire

I am not familiar with Morocco, but in France, BC are free. You request it to the township where you were born (if birth in France) or to the centralized registry (Service Central d'État Civil in Nantes, managed by the French Dept. of Foreign Affairs  – Ministère des Affaires Étrangères) if birth abroad.

The reason I was making the comparison between Morocco & France is because their administrative systems show a lot of similarities (inherited from the past, Morocco being previously a "Protectorate" under French rule), which explains certain things, including the fact that you cannot use BC dated more than 3 month old when presenting to government agencies in the country, due to the life events mentioned there.

I was not aware that Moroccan BCs have an explicit expiration date, so I stand corrected.
