Went to infopass to get passaport stamped today and they wouldnt give to me,,saying its only for emergencies..i told hem i needed because i was changing employers and they needed proff of residency as the officer kept my EAD.......

so NO STAMP....

i asked them how long for the GREEN CARD.....They dont know, up to 3 monhs, like the letter says........

They did told me something about a problem in their sistem or that the letter the officer gave me wasnt the right one, bla, bla....

After 5 minutes i was tellin them how terrible the service was and how sometimes in immigration nobody speaks the same language and have different oppions...which SUCKS, cause we never know what to do...

So, any friends from LA that got their Green Card??????? and how long after the interview????

my next step will be trying to knock on the door from the lady that interviewed me and ask whats up...they have to know they are dealing with people lives and that shouldnt take that long....and its a very good job a might be missing......

Thanks everybody

We can't really answer your question if you haven't filled out your timeline. Please do so -- you can use your assistant for this, or come to this post and scroll up to your name, and look for 'My timeline.'

The period between the AOS filing and approval really does vary quite considerably. I think you've already had an interview, though, from the sounds of your post? :)

If you're already at the post-interview state and you were approved, then your green card may be held up pending a name check or something. Has your case been updated at all on USCIS? Did anyone at the Infopass appointment tell you about a name check, or outstanding issues?

thanks for the answer...YES...i was approved on march 8th at my interview...i got a letter saying so, and the officer stamped my file with APPROVED....so if i was pending any name checks she wouldnt approved me right on the spot....

She gave a Welcome letter saying i was approved and that if a need a stamp i should use that letter, and that was that....

no....i havent got any updates in the sistem since november..... and at the infopass the only thing that the non heplfull officer told me was that the letter says it can take up to 90 days to receive the card and i should wait....

was interviewed in L.A. Dec. 6 and approved Dec. 8. Was made to re-do fingerprints by Dec. 13 (due to bad date, sort of) - Suppose to expect GC anytime after the 2nd fingerprinting.

was called Feb. 22 to see the immigration officer by Feb. 23 and was informed that i never reported for my 2nd finger printing since the data was not uploaded by then. Went to see the IO and found out that they mixed up the #s of my 1-765 & 1-485. the issue was resolved, eventually got my GC March 6. It was quick after it was found out what happen with the data needed for the GC.

I hope this will help.
