Hello,

I just got my NOA1 from VSC for my husband. I've already had to call them to correct the spelling of his name. (I guess they did not look at his passport:)

While I wa slooking online for the processing times, I noticed that for I130 filers they are sooooo behind. They are only processing ones that are from Jan. 2006!!! That's over a year and a half. The woman on the phone told me that all those people have to wait for visa numbers. She told me that I did not have to wait for a visa number though because I am a US citizen. As usual she could not quote me any time frame of when they will be caught up and able to look at my husband's papers. But the fact that he doe snot need a visa number, does anyone know if he will be able to go ahead of anyone else or is he really stuck at the bottom of the pile...ignored until they get caught up from a year and a half ago? If taht is the case, then our I130 will take eons!!:(

June 14, 2007 Sent I130 to Vermont Service Center via USPS overnight

June 15, 2007 Confirmed on usps.com that VSC has received packet

June 29, 2007 Check cashed by USCIS (hey they opened my packet!)

June 30, 2007 Received NOA1

July 7, 2007 I130 touched

July 9, 2007 I130 touched

July 10, 2007 I130 touched

Aug. 24, 2007 I130 touched

Aug. 26, 2007 I130 touched (stop feeling up my husband's case and get him over here, yala!)

Oct. 1, 2007 On my way to Palestine

Oct. 5, 2007 I130 approved, transferrerd to NVC YAY!!!!

Oct. 16, 2007 Return to US, ranks one of the saddest day of my life:(

Oct. 27, 2007 Agent form/AOS bill received from NVC

Nov 1, 2007 Overnighted AOS payment to NVC

Nov. 29, 2007 Received AOS form from NVC

Dec. 20, 2007 overnighted I864 packet to NVC

Can you please fill out your timeline? I assume you have petitioned for CR-1 process to bring your husband as an immigrant from Palestine? For now, you can just wait. Once his case is approved, you will be notified by USCIS. Please read the guides on this website.

PS There is no June 31

May be you meant July 1 as your NOA1 date?

Thanks

lol some of the responses were kinda funny:) Yes, I will have 3+ more to go over the forums and guides here and it will keep me occupied I'm sure;)

The info here is quite helpful and the guide to creating the I130 packet...I stuck to that like glue. :)

For the 3 month thing....I hope it will be that but with the way they are backed up, I doubt it:( And quite frankly, the people who told my husband he'd be back in 3 months with green card in hand think they know everything about immigration since they went through theprocess 20 years ago. So I'm not the one who came up with the 3 month rule...they turned my husband against me (even though I was the one researching online, already speaking with USCIS, and even a lawyer and had a route planned out fo rus)and made him promises he'd be back in 3 months so he wantd to go home and wait for me to file here. All good and fine, but now he is getting anxious as he is not happy in Palestine right now and now USCIS is telling us he most likely will not be able to re-enter on his B1/B2 visa with this I130 paperork pending. (depends on discression of border patrol basically)

I am now seriously considering a K3 visa for him just to get him here faster even though he won't be able to work right away. But I am going to print off the K3 info before I leave work and read it on my fourth of July tomorrow while the rest of the world is roasting hot marshmallows and lwatching fireworks:)
