In my SSN it was marked Valid for Work Only with DHS authorization....What does this means? Is DHS authorization different from Employment authorization??? Does anyone there knows about all of what iam saying?pls help...

DHS is the agency that provides employment authorization so they are one and the same

What visa did you arrive on?

YMMV

I will assume you entered on a K-1, since that is one of the only ones that can get a SSN with that notation on it.

The notation is there to instruct an employer to look for a green-card or EAD card before hiring you for a job, having an SSN is not work authorization. DHS work authorization is EAD, DHS issues the EAD and green-cards.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

K-1 is a fairly good assumption but a K-3 with EAD before greencard will also get this....

YMMV

Anyone who requires employment authorization will have this on their SSN, that includes K1, K3 and anyone adjusting from VWP/Tourist visa and many more.....
