Returned RFE timeline question (greater than 30 days/less than 60)

Has anyone here had any experience with a 'Response to USCIS' Request for Evidence Was Received'  taken an eerie amount of time to approve? We filed in July 2020 and received our RFE notification on 23 Feb 21 and received/returned it by mail on 27 Feb 21 and they received it on 1 Mar 21 for a question left unanswered, Did you meet through an IMB?' - which was no. The site was NOT an IMB and the response only asked for documentation if it was 'yes'. We're currently at 35 days waiting and we're starting to get a little nervous. Does anyone have any insight on why ours may be taking longer than others we've seen? Will some agents prioritize NOA1 date over returned RFE date? Do agents go on vacation/handle medical/family emergencies without passing off their case load? I've actually assisted another in returning the SAME RFE (I did advise them to double check with a lawyer) and it was returned AFTER us and approved within a week. I've seen no less than 8 cases on my various non VJ groups also have similar results, many of which with more intricate RFEs (intent to marry, clarification of law breaking incident, proof of 2 year meeting requirement). Calling/Infopass is met simply with the canned 'we have 60 days' and 'each case is different' response.

I love statistics so I've also used the CASE TRACKER app to find the 5,000 cases before AND after us (totaling 10,000) - isolated K-1 visas who have RETURNED the RFE but waiting on the response. Out of the 135 I have listed, only 3 have a LONGER last update and 3 have the SAME last update time.

That’s how I felt too. I got an RFE on Feb 11 asking for two year meet and intent to marry. I sent the information on the Feb 23 they received it on March 1 and Approved it April 2. There is no specific way they are doing it and it’s 1st 1st serve. Or by NOA1 date or when they received the information back. Keep checking every day plus if your country isn’t doing interviews right now that might be a delta too. I hope u hear from them this week. Good luck

It might just be bad luck that yours is taken longer than others

As i've been reminded on here, each of our applications and replies go to different individuals working at the USCIS and each person works at different speeds and efficiency.

Did you include the terms and conditions of the website that you met on?

We met on an online game and for our RFE it asked us for proof of bonafide intent to marry, and we included the terms and conditions of that gaming website in the RFE reply just to be safe.

I was advised to include the terms and conditions if it's not a majorly well known website such as Facebook or Instagram etc.

We did not include anything but the cover letter and unanswered question form. The unanswered question form was a YES/NO block and the only thing it asked for was additional information if the answer was 'YES' since our answer was 'NO' we did not include anything but the papers.

Also - my case study is starting to get data, of the 130+ cases I am tracking - 8 were approved today with 11, 17, 18, 18, 19, 19, 20 and 21 days waited. More data should come in tomorrow.

3 cases (including ours) are at 34 days of waiting, and 3 longer than us - longest current wait time is 46 days.

I have not found a single RFE returned/waiting for NOA2 beyond 60 days save for some random outlier searches from Jan 2020 NOA1 which may have been abandoned or un-updated via USCIS
