Hi there!

I applied for a K1 visa in September of 2019 and it was approved in December of 2019. However, during the pandemic we broke up. I'm wanting to file a different K1 visa with another person later this year but I'm wondering when the 2 year rule comes into effect. Is it starting from September when I filed? Or does it count from December when it was approved? Thanks so much for your help!

From official USCIS instructions regarding form I-129F:

"You are filing this petition on behalf of your fiancé(e), you have previously had a Form I-129F approved, and less than two years have passed since the filing date of your previously approved petition."

I want to add that even if you are pass the 2-year multiple filer timeline, you and your fiance may still get questioned about your past fiance.

Thank you! This may be a silly question, but do you know if there is a way to see the exact filing date?
