Re-send rejected packet as it is?

Hello,

 

Mailing out my re-submission tomorrow (They rejected & sent back to me because our credit card wouldn't charge) so we are re-sending with a check.

 

On my paperwork they sent back, they have barcode/number scan printed on each page but 2 of the pages have pen line drawn through the barcode/number scan. Does this mean I have to send a complete fresh copy? I'm getting mixed information upon searching the forum, some posts say re-send as you received it back as they put it in order but I don't want to resend it if the pen line through their barcode scan means it's invalid & they need a fresh copy?

no just add new payment and send  everything back. call your bank and let them know that you want them to allow USCIS to charge your card

I'm not an expert, but I'd probably resend a fresh copy. I have a print queue set up for the entire I751 filing (app + evidence) so I can basically reprint our entire case with a single click. 

 

Did you find out why USCIS rejected your case back when you submitted it? Or did you just find out now? If USCIS told you there was a payment issue back when you submitted, I would've sent a new application ASAP, before getting the old one back.

No we didn’t know the reason until we got the refused letter & whole packet back in the mail

 

We have an exact copy of what we sent I just wanted to clarify if the packet they sent back to me with their pen marks on, is what they want back

Ours was rejected for an old edition. I re-submitted with new copies, since the old evidence and forms had markings on it. Only thing that we kept same was pictures. We also placed the green rejection letter on top.

I do not like using a credit card for this since I have read about applications being rejected due to the payment method. I used a money order and I did not have any issues. Maybe try to use a different payment method?

unless the rejection letter says " outdated forms or some other wording that says you used incorrect forms " there is no need to print new forms.

The edition now is actually expired, but according to the USCIS website, they say to use it.  I'm actually mailing my wife's ROC package tomorrow, and that was one of the first things I noticed.  Hopefully USCIS doesn't change their mid about the expired edition, after it clearly says on their website to do so...
