That's good! I suppose there are a ton of things he will need. He is super picky though so I'll let him choose.

Yeah the list was online and shared so i could add things as I would think about it the weeks before ( if you had asked me the day I was fliying I would have been so stressed I would not have thought of most things). I had all kinds of stuff in the list like an electric toothbrush, semi skimmed milk, this type of letuce, that type of coffee, etc.

My hubby is also Indian and we will be living in MN so we'll  be super close to you guys! I know he doesn't  want a welcome party cause he's super introverted. I think that's why I've been drawing a blank cause I know what I would want if i was moving but some people are different! His love languages are quaility time and physical touch so I'm thinking a night in, candles, cakes, flowers, a banner, and champagne. He is super particular about what he wears and uses so I will take him shopping once he is here. Then I think maybe set up for romantic time!

Im so happy that you know about love languages!!!! It’s easy to see how selfless of a love you have for your hubby, makes my heart happy for you♥️. Sidd’s love languages are the same as your husbands are so I read him ur ideas of how to welcome your husband. He thought most of the men he knows would love that sorta welcome!

Depending on the weather, after we get back from India, I plan on making up sandwiches & simple foods so we can have a picnic under the stars and then I’ll get a fire going for us to sit around so he can listen to the quiet. The pollution in India hides the stars & quiet isn’t something you get in Mumbai. I live in the country in middle of nowhere so long as weather cooperates, stars & quiet are something I can give him

What does your husband think about the temperatures he’s gonna be moving to? MN has so many gorgeous lakes and off the beaten path gems that you can show him once he’s settled, he’s blessed to get to live in such a beautiful state!!

I should definitely  do that so we can get a head start on everything he will need! Thank you! Was it like an amazon list?

That makes me feel better about my plans. And he says it's cold in India  when it's like 60 there so I know MN will be miserable! He will be coming at a good time though, because we have the Summer Humidity (that I hate.) But he should love! Then he will have time to acclimate a little to the cold.

The right welcoming depends on what sorta lifestyle your man is used to and what sorta life you have. Sidd and I are both very simple, non materialistic people so what makes him happy won’t work for everyone. Hes made it clear to me that he wants to live, dress and eat the way my daughter and I do, he doesn’t want us changing or trying to Indian-ise anything for him so that’s my plan until he starts to miss things about India. For your spouse, airport Big Macs & cheese sandwiches while laying on the ground could be the wrong way to welcome your husband lol so thats why it’s wonderful that you already know what makes your husband feel loved and respected, you’re further ahead than a lot of couples are and as long as you keep putting what you know about your man ahead of what you’d want, you will give him the absolutely perfect welcome home♥️
Are you going to interview with him? How far along are you guys in the process? We got DQed Dec 15th so we may be getting our interview letter next month🤞🏼🤞🏼

When he experiences temperate climes and exclaims, "There is no need to stay in the Midwest and be cold," you'll know that he's acclimated, K ma'am.
