Hi guys,

Did anyone filing at Mumbai receive DS230-part 2 form with Packet 4? My wife did not get part 2. I wonder if she would still need to submit it at the interview.

I-130 NOA1 1/12/07

I-129F filed 1/18/07

I-129F and I-130 NOA2 from CSC 4/13/07

I-129F left NVC 4/27

...

GC received 2/28/08

...

Mailed 751 to VSC on 11/8/09

no she will not get part 2. In our case, we did not recieve P3 from mumbai, but in P4 they only had part - 1 in the package. My wife only send in ds-230 part -1 and it was fine. may be somebody else can add/correct me? gluck

12/12/2011 -- Got NOA1 ONLY for mom's file

4/25/2007 -- notice received in mail

5/10/2007 -- NVC recieved case (finally, after 3 weeks)

5/14/2007 -- NVC sent case to Mumbai embassy

5/21/2007 -- Embassy received case

5/31/2007 -- wife sent in packet 3

6/15/2007 -- wife received packet 4

8/23/2007 -- INTERVIEW DATE wohooooo + got K3 visa on 23rd :)

9/03/2007 -- sweetheart is here in US

AOS - EAD

9/17/2007 -- AOS/EAD package sent to chicago lock box

9/26/2007 -- NOA 1s for 485 & EAD

10/1/2007 -- biometrics appt letter received

10/13/2007 -- fingerprinting....speed it up guys..

11/28/2007 -- card production ordered - EAD

03/04/2008 -- final interview for greeen card :)

I am sure that she needs to take DS 230 part II with her during the interview. Have her fill that out, but she must not sign Ds 230 part II. She will be asked to sign it during the interview in front of the consular officer. She can download the DS 230 part II and fill it out on the PC at the dept of state website.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

At the US consulate in China they use part 2 only for immigrant visas, (CR-1, IR-1) for K-3 Part 2 is not used and not sent out to the applicant.

Probably the same for your consulate.

I would suggest filling one out and of course stop at the line stateing not to fill out anything below the line, and have it handy for the interview.

simple are you sure they need ds part -2

they are k-3 visa

as of i understnd ds part 2 was for cr or ir visas

however i m not so sure

Probably you will not need Pt 2. But why not just download & print & fill it out & take with you to the interview? At least it will give some peace of mind, and is hardly any effort at all! :yes::thumbs:
