Very happy for you guys!

@oneoftheunderdogs I can't believe you called them! That's great, and after all, you got your appointment pretty quick.

I'm going to do my bio this week.

Did somebody got some news for the EAD?

Really? I never heard of initial adjustments of status without interview.

Yes, for parents it is not uncommon. I sponsored my mother years ago and she got her EAD in less than 90 days, and she got her green card by mail. No issues. :)

We just got a RFE on 7/6/21 from our local USCIS office, requesting to submit the i693. Which is different from the prior one we received  asking to either mail or bring to interview.
I guess you are right they might bypass the interview.
I will keep you guys posted.

@Moxa1989 yes!!! That’s a dead giveaway that they want to waive the interview. I would sens it ASAP! 😊

I wonder what is next? I got my biometrics done last July 9th and 2 days ago I got a deficiency notice for my I-693 which eventually they stated that I should bring that to the interview appointment. Will the EAD/AP combo card be the next mail I'll receive? Or will it be an interview appointment?

Really no way to know that. depends on how busy your local Field Office is.

My case just got updated to "Case is Ready to be Scheduled for an Interview" and they received my expedite request for the EAD. Got an email saying they took action on my case, but cannot see any updates. At least I know my case is moving.
