Hi everyone,

We filed our petition on March 15th, 2021 and is yet to receive a receipt notice from USCIS. USPS indicated it was delivered to the lockbox in Chicago on March 22nd, 2021. My current B2 visa expires today April 2, should I be worried? Hope we can receive the receipt notice I-797 soon.

No reason to worry.  However, until you receive the receipt for the filing of a proper I-485 package, you won't have any evidence of authorized stay in the US.  BTW, your profile says K-1 instead of Adjustment of Status pending.

You will need to wait till next week or even next two weeks. From what I can see, they are processing people who filled on the 12th of March alongside Feb and March fillers from 1st - 11th. My document was delivered on the 13th which is a Sunday, so I assume they will process it on the 15th of the March. Hopefully, by Monday - Tuesday they will send my recite.

Your document was submitted on the 22nd, it might take a month or two to get the receipt. So just chill and be hopefully.

Hi there,

USCIS received my AOS package on March 8th, so far no receipt notice and no checks cashed. I am getting a little antsy as well, but all we can do is wait, I guess!

When you receive a receipt notice please let us know. Our package was delivered on the 13th of March, but I guess they would move it to 15th.

I had the same concern, technically yes, you don't have any proof yet, but you shouldn't be worried, soon you will have your first NOA, you have evidence to stay while your case is being processed.

is it your visa expiring or your latest I-94? (proof of last admission / stamp on passport)

I filed on March 11th, and just received notice today that my cases were accepted. Does anyone knows why my i-485 says "Fingerprint Fee was received"? Thanks.

I believe it just means that they cashed the check/charged your credit card for your I-485. Mine says the same thing.

Got two more receipt notices in the mail today, just waiting on my last one (I-485) now! USCIS did send one of them to my home address and two to my PO Box, annoying! Waiting on biometrics appointment now!
