Uscis receipt question

Hi all,  I checked the USCIS website for their current processing times. It states they are currently processing cases with receipt date of September 2nd. My question is...is receipt date the day that they received it or do they consider your receipt date the noa1 date?

It’s the date on the NOA1, not the date that FedEx or UPS delivered it to the lockbox.

Actually the site says " we received your paperwork on October 26.. then on the other screen it says November 23rd(which is my noa1. The date I received text notification). So that's why I'm confused

There are two dates.   Receipt date and notice date.  They go be receipt date.

Not necessarily. There have been random examples where it was delivered so late in the day it was not logged in until the next day.

OMG.  One day difference?  Makes a statistically inconsequential difference.

They go by the receipt date. So it’s October 26
