I made an inquiry through my senator and got a response that my case was under extended review. Made an inquiry through my congressman and got a response that my case was within normal processing. I got an email from USCIS "we have taken an action on your case" on 10/13/21. I checked my case online but no action was taken. I called several agent and I was told that the only activity on my case was the completion of my interview on 10/12/21. I don't know what that means.

I got the same message after my interview and did not see any action, I think the system does that to "log in" that you actually had the interview.  What I am confused about is: if your interview was on 10/12/21, why did you make an inquiry? was the case outside processing time, meaning you file maybe last year?

I appeared for my interview on 08/06/2021 but the message I got stated I appeared for interview on 10/12/2021. I called because my case was outside processing time. I filed last year.

Oath ceremony scheduled on November 08th, 2021 Monday at 9 am.

Even as I am typing this can't believe that finally this is happening.

More than happiness I really only feel relief and even now there is this unbearable wait till the 08th of Nov.

I wish everyone else waiting for their oath ceremony all the very best.

I have been re-reading this entire thread.  So, any updates on the pending cases? @Soccer.Player(I know you got an RFE, did that get resolved?), @Neickers, @hxk, @oriana77, @anakai, @leonidas_alexan, @bunkx, @judefabulous, @robot11... not sure if I forgot anybody.

So, on my end, only one update: after 120 days I contacted my Senator.  They contacted my field office (in Denver) to inquiry about my case.  About 2-3 weeks later they received an answer from USCIS stating that my A-file remains locked at one of the Federal Records Center.  Apparently many centers are still closed because of COVID, so they can't retrieve those files for review, thus causing the delay.  Anybody else has heard of this?  to me it seems unbelievable that they cannot retrieve a file in a timely manner (4-5 months).  So, at this point I think I am stuck waiting.

I was curious if anyone else has made any progress.

I just made my second case inquiry. They replied to my first inquiry exactly 60 days after saying that my case is on the line and that they are experiencing a delayed because of Covid. I could clearly noticed that that response was useless and that the officer barely take a lot on my case. However, I filed my case in October 2019. This is already 24 months, and I feel that writing my senator is a waste of time based upon in other cases.

I've been strongly thinking about that! Something in the back of my head says to hold it up for a few more weeks, but trust me this process is driving me nuts

Hello everyone one. I had my interview just yesterday for n400. I cleared the tests, IO was formal and nice but said he'll push for approval once my background check is complete. He further added that I should get mail saying oath ceremony was scheduled in 15 days approx but hand me the form with" No decision can be made". Should I worried my case will be stuck? Is there anyone here to whom IO gave same answer?

Also, I had n400 interview on 10/21. I751 is scheduled on 10/29. However, IO mentioned that he will clear i751 notice with n400 and I do not have to appear for interview on 10/29. If I do not receive any updates until then, should I go to interview or no? My green card along with extension letter will expire on Nov 20th.

Please help me what should I do for 29th.

I am scared reading the posts here that my case is probably going to be stuck.

My local office was Chicago for the reference.

That's a tough one. If it was me, I'd go along to the interview (with my spouse) if you haven't heard anything by 10/29 or received an official notice that the interview has been cancelled.

Hopefully both N-400 and I-751 will be approved before then though. Keep an eye on your online service for updates.

If you look on the old system, you'll see the inquiry and will be able to track it there, and see when it's been processed.

You may get an email or letter in response.

For example, this is what I saw on mine, when this situation happened to me:

I didn't receive any response, the local office just scheduled me for the oath.

I also received an updated message from the old system when submitting an inquiry to my local office. They will give you a referral number SRXXXXXX…, but you will not receive any emails or physical mails.

You can email through the new system, and tell them you have an inquiry to your local office and your referral number is SRXXXXXX, but you did not receive responses from them. Then the new system will help you check and reply to the local office’s message to you. I tried twice before (I emailed through the new system to ask), and I could see my local office's response.
