That's a good result. I was able to get some movement on my case when an enquiry was forwarded to the local office.

Make sure you keep checking the old system, as you'll see the enquiry they have made, entered on that.

What is the "old system"? just curious if that was something from before 2020 maybe?

I have been re-reading this entire thread.  So, any updates on the pending cases? @Soccer.Player(I know you got an RFE, did that get resolved?), @Neickers, @hxk, @oriana77, @anakai, @leonidas_alexan, @bunkx, @judefabulous, @robot11... not sure if I forgot anybody.

So, on my end, only one update: after 120 days I contacted my Senator.  They contacted my field office (in Denver) to inquiry about my case.  About 2-3 weeks later they received an answer from USCIS stating that my A-file remains locked at one of the Federal Records Center.  Apparently many centers are still closed because of COVID, so they can't retrieve those files for review, thus causing the delay.  Anybody else has heard of this?  to me it seems unbelievable that they cannot retrieve a file in a timely manner (4-5 months).  So, at this point I think I am stuck waiting.

I was curious if anyone else has made any progress.

I am still waiting here. No movement. I was told my case is under extended review when I made an inquiry through a senator.

I checked my online status today and it says "Oath Ceremony will be scheduled".

Now, I do not know if this happened in the normal course of events unfolding or if it is a result of a mail/letter I sent to the National Benefits Center inquiring them about the status of my case. I sent the letter based on the advice I received from the USCIS representative over the phone a few months ago.

I still won't be believing this whole thing until I actually get my naturalization certificate in my hands. That is how tense I still am. The oath ceremony day cannot come sooner.

I wish everyone else all the very best and I will update this thread with any new developments on my side.

Congrats. I can relate to your worry. My oath is on 10/27, and I will not be relaxed till it is completed with a positive outcome.

Congratulations on your approval!  I guess I missed this post as it was quoted from someone else?

I think so. I got the oath email last week(after a little over 120days), It is scheduled for 10/27.

Just for awareness, I didn't do any SRs(except for 1 in the very beginning) or Senator inquiries. I am not suggesting that SRs or other inquiries don't help, but wanted to mention it as a data point.

Congratulations to you too and thank you for your kind wishes.

If I may ask, so that I can prepare in advance, can you please let me know what documents are you supposed to bring in to the oath ceremony? I believe you would have gotten a letter explaining to you the documents that you are to bring to the oath ceremony, right?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks a lot my friend.

You will be asked to provide the following

All Permanent Resident Cards ("green card") that you may have, valid or expired.

All Reentry Permits or Refugee Travel Documents that you may have, valid or expired.

Any other documents USCIS issued to you that you may have, such as employment authorization cards, valid or expired.

Also, try not to break any laws or do bigger traffic violations between the time of the interview and oath:)...you will be asked to declare that in a form, you will get along with the oath letter. Plus you will have to declare that you have not travelled abroad or been married/divorced since the interview...etc etc...

Google "N445" to see a sample oath letter. It will help answer your questions further.

I was so paranoid in the weeks leading up to the oath, that I was driving around a few mph under the speed limit everywhere! It definitely feels more relaxed when it's all over.

Thanks for the tip, I appreciate this feedback.  I have been reading a lot here and other forums and it does seem like the SRs or Senators inquiries do little to noting (maybe with some rare exceptions).  It is just more of a waiting game.  I already did my inquiries, now it is up to them to get the case moving, I try not to stress anymore about it.  When the time comes it will come...

Thanks a lot. I will remember to not get into any traffic situations :).
