Oath ceremony scheduled for April 1

Congratulations!  It is always nice to see cases moving along after such a long time of uncertainty and wait 🙂

Thank you, I saw you had yours recently. Would you mind sharing your oath ceremony experience? What to expect in the ceremony?

The ceremony was sweet and short.  First I gave the form N-445 to an officer, then went into a big room (we were a total of 26 people, socially distanced and wearing masks).  Then there was a short speech by the director at USCIS, we all said the oath aloud, and we also had the privilege to hear a speech from our Senator who handed the naturalization certificates to each one of us.  In total, it probably lasted 30 minutes or so.  Oh, and at the end there was the option to register for voting!

Hi,

I wonder if I send in an FOIA with all my A files since I immigrated  here can help speed up a decision.

i just received it from my former lawyer though some info is redacted. Can they access it if I

Attach it on my online account or print it out and mail out?

The IO was missing most of the info with my other A numbers and was gonna look for them before she approves

What is FOIA? Not sure If that's something related to my case and if i should be doing something. I had my interview in October of 2021 and I'm still waiting for the decision.

FOIA=freedom of information act. Whereby you request your immigration file from the National records center to be forwarded either to you or your local USCIS field office for review.

every case is different.

did you get asked to provide more documents to your case ?

Thank you for in the info. No the IO just handed me a paper after the interview saying that the decision could not be made since I have 2 A numbers and he needs to combine the file in order to give me decision. And it been almost 5 months.

You think I should request my A-file and upload in on my online account?
