Hi All! I am April 2020 Filer but seems like noone in thatΒ channel can help me thereforeΒ I decided to post hereΒ - after my biometrics have been taken IΒ immediatelyΒ received notification from USCIS that my case was transferred to the National Benefits Center for processing as part of a standard process. Does anyone know what does that mean andΒ how long it takes for NBS to review/approve the case? It's been siting with USCIS for 2 years already.Β My 24 months extension letter ends up in mid-June so I wonder if I can potentiallyΒ get my new card on time.Β

While you'll likely need an extension, have you already applied or considered applying for citizenship? People are split on whether or not N400 application will 'push' your I751 to move forward. Though what a lot of people, mostly April-June 2020 filers, have been doing is file for FOIA which somehow has been helpful in 'unstucking' a case.

Β

Two years is a long time but there are some who have waited even longer. Not saying the wait is worth it because it's not and totally sucks, but there are others who share the misery. I hope your case moves ahead soon!!

Yes, I did apply for N400 in April of this year. The reused my biometrics from I751 and reviewingΒ my case. I just have never heard from anyone hereΒ that case was transferred to NBS.Β

Nobody has answer your question for sure, I have a cousin waiting 2 years and 2 months now and no answer, he will make an appointment with uscis to get his passport stamped and keep working,

I have 1 year waiting roc, and I applied for citizenship on April 27 , 2022 and no answer from roc yet.

So best you can do is get an appointment and get your passport stamp

If you came on a CR1 visa and got your green card when you arrived in the USA then you are likely waiting for an interview at your local USCIS field office. This is normal for consular (embassy processed) cases to go to NBC and you will likely get a combo interview for both your n400 and i751 at the same time.
