I-751 APRIL 2021 Filers (Removal of Conditions)

My K-1 wife just got a letter today from Potomac Center saying they were waiving the biometrics requirement for her I-751 case, instead recycling the previous biometrics collected for her AOS two years ago. It also said don't ask for a refund of the $85 biometrics fee we paid!

My K-2 step-daughter didn't get anything about a biometrics waiver . . . yet.

I'll update here if she does.

Just checked case status online. Wife's account shows it was updated re: biometrics as discussed above. Step-daughter's case has no updates since April, when NOA-1 was sent out.

I got the same thing.  I think it's bad that they wont refund the biometrics fee.

Sent package 4/23

Received 4/26

Still no NOA or check cashed

Submitted everything correctly.

Just an update on this. Package was returned for incorrect fee on 06/14. My $680.00 money order was lost or never made it to them.

I put the money order in a small envelope with the label "Money Order".  I should have just put stapled it with the documents.

Oh Glad you got some sort of answer to this! I would not staple anything they do not want that put a paper clip or one of those heavy duty binder clips. I would also "photocopy" the money order. what I did was photocopy the check I sent because they can pull it out of my account electronically with the check numbers. I clipped the check to the paper copy of the check. So if you could do a check and photocopy it that would be a good idea.

Glad you got some final answers. You still have time to send it in so thats why its best to send it ASAP to have another set of time to process it again.

Like the other person said, do not staple. Instead use paper clips and binder clips. Put the check/money order at the very front (that's what I've been doing) just out in the open and not inside any envelope.

@Aghalor, I would not be surprised if you end up finding the envelope somewhere in the package.

We put it in an envelope BUT we punched two holes on the envelope and secured it with the rest of the package with ACCO fasteners.

Thank you for your input. I just decided to use the credit card form instead.  Moneygram will refund the money order since it was never cashed.

Good afternoon everyone,

I'm really in panic mode because I think I'm the only one who did not receive my NOA. I got the text message since Mai 19/2021 .still not receive my NOA. I don't have any update when I check online my status is the same.

Call 800-375-5283 and say "Notice of Action". You 'll be able to speak to a live person after a few minutes. You need to have either your Receipt number or Alien number on your current Green card. Hope this helps!

No problem. They have a money order refund form online and it takes 7 business days for processing. Only issue is that there is a $18 processing fee.

CR1 typically go to MSC. In the spreadsheet, I see that your case was assigned to WAC first? They probably want to interview you guys, hence the transfer. Totally normal.
