K1 Visa and tourist visa?

Hello all,

Just wondering if it is okay for my fiance to apply for a tourist visa while we are awaiting our k1 visa?  our embassy in Belgrade has stated they are not accepting any new cases at NVC with absolutely no estimated time of when they will, so we're just trying to figure out options to see eachother again. Obviously she would still return for the interview once scheduled. Let me know if this pipedream is just a little too out there. Thanks

for the record we would not be getting married during her tourist visit, simply just a way to spend some time together as all of us know how difficult it is without our loved ones. Thanks

Non-immigrant tourist visas, I believe, are not a priority for embassies now. Check to see if the Belgrade embassy will process a tourist visa at this time.

Embassies are currently not issuing tourist visas. Does she have one already?

Nothing preventing her from applying but as soon as she marks fiancé in the US she can expect a rejection and them telling her to follow through with K-1. Why can’t you come visit her in Belgrade?

ah, thank you for the clarity. 

and to answer your question - someone has to pay for the wedding/honeymoon/house renovations etc. lol
