Horrible experience with "Rapid Visa" CR-1/I-130

Not in this case with this company. It is an internally generated "cover letter" and the ONLY address listed is the Phoenix lockbox. They screwed up and they fail to own it. PERIOD.

That's unfortunate and that sounds like an even harder mistake to make (mailing to the wrong address after having already deduced and printed out the correct one).

Your first post mentioned "the instructions on the USCIS form", so I was referencing the information that comes directly from USCIS.

Hopefully your petition will be transferred to Phoenix without being returned. I have seen reports from other users on this site (albeit ones who didn't use a third-party service) who mailed their package to the incorrect lockbox but still had it successfully forwarded and processed by USCIS.

Read and heed!  After using their services - I CANNOT under any circumstances recommend that anyone use the company doing business as "Rapid Visa" to assist you in this process. After numerous delays and poor service - they mailed my petition to the WRONG ADDRESS. The instructions on the USCIS form CLEARLY STATE that the petition is to be mailed to the PHOENIX "lockbox" - yet they somehow managed to send mine to DALLAS. Dallas does NOT ACCEPT 1-130 petitions. Now they (Rapid Visa) tell me "do not worry, there are 2 scenarios what can happen next:
1) the USCIS will transfer your petition to Phoenix, AZ
2) Your petition will be returned to you - and you will be able to resubmit it or if you wish, you can send the petition to us and we will submit it for you (to correct address)."
Oh REALLY? This is what CAN happen? What about what WILL happen?
Then they go on to write: "Your petition will not get denied based on the filing error, you don't have to worry about this." Maybe not but it WILL BE DELAYED BY WEEKS IF NOT MONTHS!
Then they state: "Please note that currently the USCIS is under a backlog and it takes few weeks for them to issue the receipt notices." Again - oh REALLY?
As if I didn't know that there's a huge backlog? REALLY? Am I supposed to be reassured by this? It simply means that a few WEEKS/MONTHS will be added to this miserable process (due to their delay in mailing PLUS this egregious and flagrant error).
Government bureaucracy is bad enough - but when the private sector adds to the misery index - it is UNSATISFACTORY.
Again - I STRONGLY URGE anyone in this group or contemplating how to file their I-130 - AVOID RAPID VISA!

The Dallas lockbox DOES receive I-130s.  This has happened before.  As I recall, the petitions I remember were simply transferred internally.  Yes, RV screwed up if they sent it to the wrong lockbox, but this is just a bump in the road compared to the things which can go wrong during the immigration process.  Just wait and see.  Good luck.  I hope the rest of your journey is smoother.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

I agree with all the posts. I never understood why people would gather everything they need themselves, and send it to a third party, then pay them to put it in a envelope and mail it ( That obviously they can't even do right). I can see the thought of it gives me confidence that someone else is looking over this and checking for errors to help me out. You don't want to even think about the people they have checking it out. As others have said, only you understand how important this is in your life. I have hundreds of hours so far invested in our process from K1 to AOS, and later this year ROC. By the time we get to citizenship I will have probably a thousand hours into forms, mailing, reviewing, gathering, etc. But it has been worth every minute of my time. The satisfaction I felt when she got her K1 visa, when she received her green card, and hopefully more to come, compares to nothing else. You feel like you won, made it to the next step, and I wouldn't give that up for anything.

Sorry you are having a difficult time, I hope things go smoothly for you from now on.

totally agree

How would anyone think they check for mistakes/  they are not privy to most of your information/ yes you submit documents to them but they don't say how u met ,   family history, etc  Only the petitioner can answer these questions and does RV offer to sit and consul with a person to go thru all this?    No

Even lawyers mess up on many applications and when the petitioner signs the forms,  he/she takes on the responsibility for what is written.

RV and lawyers do not go to any interviews and help you in the process

they make copies of the documents you send (for their own files) and mail them out / they charge a lot when all they do is mail
