We’re still waiting for something on my biometrics and no RFE yet 🤞 but I suspect we might get one for the 2020 tax return 😂 filed it before the due date but others in the March group seem to be getting this RFE

filed beginning of April :)

I thought for sure that's what ours was too since I didn't file my 2020 taxes until the beginning of May... who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️ maybe you won't

This week we received the “deficiency notice” for I-693 as expected, but still no biometrics appointment. But I imagine if they saw there is no medical exam, then that means they’re looking at the file… so biometrics to come, right??

We got biometrics' done on 7-7-2021 as scheduled. Although Jeigh did not have any issues others did not go so well. Missing or incorrect paperwork got some of them sent away.

On another note, the actual biometrics here in Birmingham are done by a third party company. Let's just say...they did not have any bedside manners.

From constant ordering of the people in line to STAY IN A SINGLE FILE LINE, take ONLY the papers I need to see from the file; to "SIR" I did not ask for your paperwork yet as he sat the papers on the desk. I was even scolded for having a tablet out to keep my 1 year old son occupied.

I guess some people like there jobs more than others....

@iwannabeskinny not yet, they received our rfe response right before yours 🤷🏼‍♀️ I don't think it helps that our field office is Seattle.

Can I ask what your RFE ended up being for?

It was really strange. It said that we did not get married within 90 days and didnt qualify for AOS based on the category that we put, and wanted to give us a chance to file for a different category before they denied us.

However, we did get married before the 90 days so we just sent our i94, marriage cert and highlighted the dates. We got married 2 weeks after he arrived, so we confused by it.

@iwannabeskinny oh dear... 🤣 That's so strange. Ours was for my husband's birth certificate... which we sent in with the initial packet 🤷🏼‍♀️ So, we just sent it back in again and made it very clear that it was the uscis approved birth certificate.

Received our Biometrics appointment letter today.

Getting anxious for ours out of Portland, Oregon. Hope it’s coming soon. We also filed for an ITIN in April because my credit union won’t add him until he has at least that. No word from the IRS either, though I guess filing in tax season without it being necessary for a tax return didn’t help the timeline.

Had my biometrics today in Lubbock. Super nice people there. I asked on the off chance they would know about EAD processing and I didn’t get much info but hey I tried 🤣 I’ll keep everyone updated.
