Anyone who has already received NOA2 know how long it took to receive the number from NVC? Or what do we do from here? We got approved on April 29th so not expecting to get in anything for 30 days but can we check anywhere beforehand? Do we get sent a letter with the new case number? Sorry just a bit confused with this next bit! We are Planning a very small wedding ceremony  for mid-September so I’m just hoping that is plenty of time!!

You can call. I have noa2 of april 5th and they recieved my case at NVC on May 5th, but told my fiancé they still needed to process the case to give us a number in which they gave him this website.

My noa2 says 2-4 weeks but ive heard of people saying it's really 2-6.

But what I did was just start calling once a week after 3 weeks had passed.

Thank you for the info. So basically you are just waiting on an email/letter stating your new case number? Once you have this - can you then log in and starting booking interview  etc?

I mean.. as far as im aware it has to go to the embassy before you can schedule an interview. The number helps track it whilst its at NVC.

I call to obtain my new case number / see if they recieved the case.

Is frustrating also they are not processing the cases chronologically for normal non expedited cases. They’re approving so many june cases meanwhile we are here painfully waiting for our April case to get processed :’( coming 13 months now.

I noticed they're actually moving chronologically for us April filers. But it's ridiculous that June is getting steady approvals at this point. I'm April 19 and can't believe it's almost 13 months.

I agree with you that they should just focus on April (and actually, just finish those 200 still waiting from March!) I'm a June filer, and they were focused on filers around June 21-22. I'm guessing they probably won't be working so much on June (it doesn't make much sense to do so), but I we'll see this week. The June people are starting to prepare for a 15 month wait unless they pick up the pace 😞

I wonder if there's some way to ask USCIS what exactly is there process. Most lawyers just say it's random. But, why is it random? I feel like if we actually understood what was going on we would all be less anxious (at least I would)!

That’s how it should be for the normal non-expedited cases! They need a new head who cares to make things better and fairer with faster processing times.
