I sent in a case inquiry last week and just got this:

On 01/02/2022, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your I-129F to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

Your case is currently being adjudicated. You should receive a notice of action* shortly.

*A notice of action may be in a form of Approval Notice, Denial Notice, Transfer Notice , Request for Evidence, or Notice of Intent to Deny.

We hope this information is helpful and appreciate your continued patience.

So do I understand it correctly that they're actively looking at our case now? or is this one of the same wishy-washy-BS-answers?

It is a lot different reply than I got.  Maybe they have a list of varying auto replies they randomly select to send. 😂 Lol. Not funny but would not surprise me

I’m also April 26! My inquiry said “we regret to inform you that we do not have a timeframe for when your case will be adjusted” 🙄

But if yours is under active review, that sounds like a much better reply than the one I got!

yeah I'm just skeptical that it's actually under review. I mean, I hope that they wouldn't just say that! I don't know what to think anymore..

I just got the response to my second inquiry today (March 17th filer) and it said "we regret that we can't give you a timeframe for when we'll review your case." I compared it to the first one, which said "we regret that we can't give you a timeframe for when we'll complete reviewing your case." I.e., they're not really truthful unfortunately, but the people who get responses that say "wait X" amount of days seem to have better luck.

Yeah I've stopped trying to read the runes of their morsels of information that they give out. If anything, it just makes me feel more anxious to try to read between the lines. can't wait for this to be over.

I agree I get more anxious and can’t wait for this to be over 🥺

the response my attorney received was

“Thank you for your inquiry. We recognize your interest in the final adjudication of your pending petition and are aware of the difficulties caused by any delay in processing. The California Service Center is committed to processing this workload and will be making every effort to adjudicate your case in the most efficient manner based on our available resources. We appreciate your patience and understanding."

I contacted my congressman, sent back the release form and formal inquiry information today.  See what happens

My senator sent an inquiry for me on 1/7. No word yet. Like you, just waiting to see what happens!

My senator's office said that in November 2021 USCIS received more congressional inquires than they usually get in an entire year. Not sure how accurate that is, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Wow, that's really wild. Was it implied it was just congressional inquiries for I-129F or in general? It will take a long time to get a response back, but the congressional liaison at CSC provides some good information from the adjudicators. For example, they told my rep earlier this month that they were still working on February, though that has seemingly changed with 39 March cases touched yesterday and 30% of the month 'processed'.

I do think the congressional inquiries are particularly helpful because, as your response implied, it's alerting the service centers of the challenges to a particular visa category. Not saying all resources should immediately be thrown onto our cases LOL, but it changes the perception from one isolated incident to quite literally thousands of us. Keep us posted!
