But then again, we are coming in the Holiday season.  I kind of expecting for them to slow down as we are nearing Thanksgiving, then Christmas, then New Year.  Still keeping my fingers crossed.

I’m waiting for them to change the processing times to 8-10 months 🙄

what does this change exactly? Does anything really happen currently if your case ends up outside normal processing time and you file a request?

Hi All,

So I ran our numbers today since we are about mid month for an update and unsurprisingly (based on Feb and March forums) there has been almost no movement. I won't post the whole chart, but the totals are included. Idk what has happened to our adjudicators, but once they hit the last week in February they completely came to a halt based on reports from others and the case tracker data. Besides a few random cases, it appears March has not really heard anything either, and as of today the USCIS page has March 17th listed as the received date for inquiry, so our cases being decided before the end of the year becomes more of a pipe dream each and every day.

This week is our last full week of November as next week is Thanksgiving and most government offices have 1-2 days off for everyone (it is also a common time for people to take the whole week off if they need to run out their vacation days if they are over the carry over amount for the year) and the week after is the start of December.

My new hope at this point: we see movement in March before the end of the year and once again have some sort of idea of our wait time. It's heart breaking to imagine the holidays without the person we are waiting to marry and I hope we all have some hope restored and see some movement as we start 2022 (I know, very sappy, but the recent stop in activity has been an added emotional toll lately).

I'll run full numbers again in 2 weeks.

I actually am the one that also made the March chart since there wasn't one and passed it on to two other people who are keeping track of it now. I think they haven't posted it again since there hasn't been much movement. But if you private message me your email address I can add you as an editor to the March chart and you can do the updating and posting if you would like. It is time consuming to run all the numbers, so while I did the first charts for March and May, I have passed them on to other people to keep working on and posting.

thanks for doing this, friend! i've been taking a mental health break from looking at the app because it's been difficult lately. i'm lucky that i get to spend the holidays with my fiance, so i've been trying to focus on that instead of the unknowns ahead of us 🙁. i hope we all get good news sooner rather than later. i just can't believe how far behind they are...and like you said, with the holidays coming up it's only going to get slower.

This delay is absurd, they prefer a work visa and a visa to illegal workers and a work visa, meanwhile, here we are in eternal waiting with mental health in destruction every day and with our lives stopped without being able to make plans for anything. I think it's clowning an expensive visa a crazy waiting time without any justification that. this visa is not free and it's a financial and emotional price and they don't worry about it treating us like garbage.

So I do have to agree with the work visa part (though I know everyone says not to compare apples and oranges). I personally have a British friend who applied for his work visa (he's a teacher) over a month after I applied for the K-1 and his visa category had premium processing so he paid a few thousand extra and was approved in 2 weeks. He had the ability to interview at any embassy worldwide (residency not needed) so he went to Colombia when he found a slot open in about late July and he has been working here in the US since September. I know his case was very different, but damn, I had such conflicting feelings of happiness that he was done and could be here in the US working and living with his US girlfriend and sadness about the wait I knew was still ahead of us.

I'd happily pay more if our case would be sped up! I'd honestly beg USCIS to take more money from me if it meant this process could be faster! It's crazy to think he was able to apply, move here, and start work in about 4 months while we are 7 months into waiting for just the first part and looking at many more months until visa in hand for this part and MANY more months still until work authorization or GC once my fiance is stateside.

I know, it's crazy and puzzling to understand their bureaucracy.  I agree, if there is a way, monetarily, to speed up the process, I'll find means to do it.  The mental anquish can be unbearable sometimes, especially when I read the comments from the months before us.  I just pray that when our expected adjunctification date comes, they will not skip my case number.

Btw, thanks for running the cases.
