I would have agreed with you after the first Woman came forward, I myself gave Cuomo the benefit of the doubt, but then there was a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and now a 9th, come on, the evidence becomes so overwhelming that it's hard to give someone the benefit of the doubt anymore, It's like OJ, we all know he did it.

  You do realize this is a thread about Matt Gaetz being a sexual predator?  You seem to be commenting on everything and everyone except Matt Gaetz.

If there was a law against people like Joe Biden who display a sexual attraction to children but don't take it to the next level, I'm sure law enforcement would have acted on it a long time ago.  As for your "concern",  most responsible parents do observe the interactions between their child and a new adult in the room, it's what Parents do.

Gaetz should go whether or not there are pictures of him with child prostitutes (he was the one who brought it up on Tucker Carlson). His other behavior -- substantiated by a number of other people -- surrounding showing explicit photos of women on the House floor is enough for me to say he needs to go. I have been on the other end of something similar, not nude pics but provocative nevertheless and it crushed me when I found out. I take this sort of non-consensual sharing of photos personally. 

I don't believe I ever suggested Cuomo should go until after the investigation has been completed at least with respect to the #MeToo allegations.  My only criticism with respect to the Cuomo ordeals is with the way the media treated him as to how he dealt with Covid.  The simple fact that he EO'ed Covid positive patients back into care facilities was simply outrageous.  Gaetz appears to be truly abhorrent, but like I said, DC is full of abhorrent characters, if you agree they should all resign, then maybe I would get on board.

Cuomo we have a year of stuff, I have no doubts about him.

 

Now Gaetz I have not really had the inclination to delve too deep in to his sleaze but all seems to add up.

 

There is the criminal side and the political side, both fail clearly on the political side.

    I think that's what most normal people would see. Smiling parents in the background, doesn't seem to be the reaction of a concerned parent. Wouldn't a parent concerned that Joe was a predator have stopped it and taken their kids away?

Hard to say, people tend to be in awe of being around someone that is well known or a celebrity.  The bigger question would be to the parents that would not want to be in his presence with their children.  I have never really understood the whole celebrity on a pedestal mentality.

  I haven't understood how people get pedophilia out of all that, but there seems to be a lot of logical leaps and detours involved in getting there.

 

  My ex wife used to always think I was looking at other people and cheating on her. I could never understand why she thought that until the very end, right before our divorce, when I realized that is what she had been doing all along and that's why she saw that behavior in others. Something I always keep in mind now, when someone has a seemingly irrational belief about someone else's behavior that doesn't really add up, it may very well be they are projecting something about their own behavior onto the other person.

The world is full of abhorrent characters. Would be easier if they stayed in a specific area, but nah.  Bad, and great, people everywhere.

I mean, to my eye, that looks kind of like minimizing the alleged sexual abuse of a child, that somehow it's less bad because the child was older. I sort of don't understand the disconnect here, since you're clearly concerned about the safety of children from reading your other posts. 

 

There's a real difference between what people feel must be true from watching edited clips of Joe Biden taken over the years and Matt Gaetz literally being under DOJ investigation for child sex trafficking. Neither of these men might have committed sexual abuse of children, or both of them, or one, or the other. We don't know. But right now we know one thing: only one of them is under criminal investigation for having sex with a child.
