This is getting very bad for him. If he wants to do drugs with sugar babies he supports, I honestly don't have much of a problem with that on a moral level. Their bodies, their choices, and I assume these are adult women. I know people who have done such things to support themselves in college (NOT me). But it is a very, very, very bad look for a guy who says he supports family values (I checked, it's on his website: https://gaetz.house.gov/media/press-releases/congressman-matt-gaetz-supports-family-values)

 

Actually it was on his website that I found out that he sponsored a bill in the last session to prohibit taking minors across state lines for the purposes of an abortion to get around parental notification laws. So.... let me get it straight. Taking a young person across state lines for the purposes of sexual intercourse is allegedly okay but it is not okay to take a young person across state lines to help her obtain an abortion to get around restrictive notification laws. Hmmmmmmm.

Same. I personally wouldn't want to be in a relationship with someone a lot older or younger than I am, but if everyone is safe, sane and legal, big deal. I reserve the right to judge in silence though.

 

But if Gaetz was paying for sex that could be another thing.

I was discussing this kind of arrangement last night with someone close to me, and I was very surprised to learn for the first time that they had had a "mutually beneficial" relationship with an older, wealthy person when he was 18. I was completely shocked. As I mentioned before, I knew some people who had done this in college, but not this person. I guess you can know someone for a long time and still find out new stuff!
