Thinking back makes me wonder what the rules were or are in the UK, I do not remember anything from that 18 or so period. Not sure I am sufficiently interested to google.

 

Now there certainly were stories about politicians and there side interests but do not recollect the under age thingy.

 

Still intrigued as to how long he will hang on.

More news, on the back of Gaetz's BFF Joel Greenberg pleading guilty yesterday to multiple crimes, including sex trafficking of a minor:

Zalonka also reportedly earned an estimated $7,000 to $17,500 from a “no-show” government job given to her by Gaetz, according to sources and government records.

According to witnesses, when friends gathered at Gaetz’s hotel room for the after party, Zalonka was seen preparing lines of cocaine on the bathroom counter. She was also seen rolling a bill of cash and snorting cocaine with Gaetz.

Greenberg has agreed to help the Feds in investigating the sex trafficking as a condition of his plea agreement. Gaetz should be worried, things don't look good for him.

I have a stepdaughter whom I adore, thanks. We -- that's her dad, her mother, and me -- consider me to be her parent, too, as much as her mother's fiancé will be when they get married next year. I've been in her life since before she was born; my ex is one of her godparents. Her dad and I prioritize her happiness, health and safety. Please don't assume anything.
