Hello, don't know if anyone on here has had a similar situation. Basically, I am a British and my fiance is American living in Florida. We recently got engaged and are now looking into the K1 Fiance Visa process. I am living back in the U.K. now, but I was a student on a F-1 Visa for 7 years (from August 2013 to June 2020) so I was out there a lot, i worked for a year on an OPT so I have a social security number etc. However, I moved back to the UK in June of 2020 and we are now ready to get married. In terms of providing evidence - should I include evidence that shows I was a student in the USA etc? We met in college in 2017 and even worked together for a year while I was on OPT - shall I submit evidence from this?

Also, I have a social security number but I don't know if its still active since my student visa expired and I am no longer living in the US. On Part 3, Item 3 on Form I-129F, it asks to state a social security number (if any) of the beneficiary, should I put my SS number in here even if I don't know whether its valid anymore?

Also, how much evidence shall we be looking to provide? Does anyone have any examples of what they submitted? THANS FOR ALL YOUR HELP :)!!!!

SSN doesn't expire.   Read the guides and form instructions and provide the required information.   Not difficult

The guides here on VJ are excellent.  I suggest studying the process and requirements.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

for K1 you'll want to focus on evidence that you've met together in person within 2 years of filing which is the biggest requirement; examples would be photos together or passport stamps visiting each others' country. I don't think you would need evidence that you were a student. There's probably a part in the application that asks if you have, or ever have had a visa and if you've ever been to the US in which you would answer accordingly and truthfully.

I sent more than I needed to (spanning back 7 years) but I didn't want to leave any doubts about the legitimacy of our relationship in the mind of the official that would be looking at our app as there's been so much visa fraud/abuse in my husband's country in the past I didn't know how picky they were going to be. Wasn't much info to go on out there for the visa process in Nicaragua at the time.

Good luck! You will need lots of patience as there is a lot of waiting involved! Don't get stuck playing the comparison game between who's getting processed faster. And as those above have mentioned there is a cornucopia of valuable information on what to expect and what the process looks like. Definitely take your time and read up on different examples and guides posted here. This website helped me out so much.
