I'm concerned about my visa interview having been arrested.

Hello I was wondering if anyone can give me any advice or just reassurance I guess.

I'm due to marry my fiancee she is American and I am British and we have filed for the i-29f and we have received notification for i-797 notice of action so I believe soon after I will have the opportunity for an interview? However I've done some research and on the medical examination and it asks if I've ever been arrested which I have and I have requested my information report from the police and there was an incident that happened back in early 2015 when I was roughly 17 of a doctored/pseudo image that was sent to me from a friend on WhatsApp of a supposedly underage person who's head had been replaced for that of a horse's head by photoshop an image me and my friends found somewhat funny at the time unbeknownst it was that of a 15 year old person this was the only thing I was arrested for as it was sent via Facebook messenger and it got flagged and I was brought in and interviewed as were my friends and was let go as the police put it down to immaturity and I wasn't charged with no further action against me and due to the fact I had no other run ins with the police in my life. it is still on the system though and the thought of having to explain this to a visa officer is very overwhelming as this type of a thing is possibly the worst thing that anyone could have against their name and I'm worried this will be grounds for cancellation despite me being honest and explaining and bringing the relevant police certificate/paper work. Can anyone give me any advice? I've been with my fiancee for five years now and I proposed two years ago and we are still living apart from eachother so I want to do everything right to make sure I have the best possible chances of being with her in the USA.

Thanks to anyone who can give me some advice I really appreciate it.

You have to disclose any charges, arrests, and/or convictions when you get to the stage of filling out the DS-160 for the embassy.  You will have to explain the arrest to the interviewing CO.  The CO will make a determination.  You may need to apply for a waiver.

As the above poster has said, you have to disclose it there is no way around it.

However, At the end of the day the important part is being with her right? So it may be that she has to move to you.

I guess I'm just not sure what would be best the best decision my case was NFA (no further action) and I'm thinking in my eyes an arrest alone does not make me a criminal or a bad person. all charges were dropped against me no warning no cautions ect and no other history of issues with police for anything.

I've read conflicting information on what I should and what others have done in a similar situation to me based on a police report outcome being NFA in regards to needing to disclose such a thing happened

but if all suggesting or saying I need to disclose it I think that is what I will do.
