According to the report for March processed immigrant visas Montreal consulate has processed 5 F4 visas. I wonder if they are starting to book F3/F4 interviews. Otherwise how would’ve these ones been processed?

Apparently many other consulates in different countries have been processing F3/F4 applications since the ban was lifted in March.

I emailed the consulate last month and they said they weren't booking interviews for F3 visas yet. Not even ones like me who had an interview in 2020 that was cancelled due to the pandemic. I wonder why they would book several F4s but no F3. F4 is a lesser priority than F3 is it not? I have heard other consulates have started F3 since the ban was lifted. But it's based on local covid conditions and rules. They told me they are limited due to staff and covid restrictions and that F3 wasn't being looked at yet as a priority. So why did they do F4? 🤔

My wild and optimistic guess- all F3 in April! Realistic view is that consulate may have slowed down again due to COVID trend this month 😫

Shall we all f3/f4 waiting for interview at Montreal embassy jointly all together request the embassy to restart the visa interview as some are waiting since long time. As Montreal embassy given least priority to f3/f4 and scheduled visa interviews for ir1/cr1 only, while other embassies are scheduled interviews of f3/f4 in similar timeline as other visa class I.e ir1/CR1.

I wish there was something we could do. But the embasies all do different things based on conditions where they are located and staff.

I am not sure why there were F4 visa interviews done and no F3s when F3 is higher priority.

I had an interview booked in 2020. It was canceled due to the pandemic. We should have been rescheduled at least. 15 years we've been waiting. It says F3 takes between 1-10 yrs and that's not true. I am starting to feel like this is never going to happen for us. Feeling very discouraged 😔

Hello

I didn’t receive an interview invitation from the consulate but I saw an opening to reschedule a new interview in the website for visa interview appointment. I called the visa appointment service and they confirmed the interview and advised that I could refer to the original letter for the interview that was canceled in March 2020.

I emailed the consulate about it but I’m still waiting for a reply to confirm.

It seems that the interview will be going to rescheduled soon may be next month. It’s a good news that consulate started rescheduling the earlier cancelled interviews.

Oh good. I didn't know they told you that you could refer to the original letter from March 2020 when you called.

Yes they did tell me to refer to the previous email but I believe the agent might have just said that because I was in insisting in getting an email from the consulate about this new interview. Like they say anything just to finish the call. So I guess we are never 100% sure until we hear from the consulate.

True but if that's what they tell us and we get no other info what are we supposed to do? Not our fault. They should be better at communicating then. And why send us the rescheduling link when they canceled if we aren't supposed to reschedule? They should've waited to send that when they really want us to. And it wouldn't let us reschedule for F3 visas before and now it did. So why would it allow us now all of a sudden (I know you didn't try but we did several times).

Hopefully all is ok.

Hi everyone,

does any one know if Montreal consulate has started to schedule interviews for F4. My documents were accepted in September 2020 and my priority date is April 2005. Any updated or information that you can share would be very helpful.
