I am F3 (I think we chatted before on another post) but I recently had it confirmed with an email from the consulate that Montreal isn't scheduling F3 interviews at all right now. We had our interview canceled last year cause of the pandemic and they aren't even rescheduling us yet so new nvc cases I assume won't be booked until rescheduled appointments are done.

Before the pandemic we were DQ in July 2019 and didn't get our interview until March 2020 (so 8 months we waited and that was during regular pre pandemic processing).

That being said I have no idea what wait times will be like for rescheduling or new nvc cases for F3 visas now. They don't tell us anything 😕.

Hi. I also got Document qualified in July 2019 and had my interview cancelled in march last year like @MovingToFlorida So the regular 8 months time to get an interview might change considering the backlog built due to covid. Hard to say how long would take now as they haven't even started rescheduling the cancelled appointments. Let's keep this topic up so more F3/F4 applicants will share their experience while waiting for the interview.

No nothing at all yet since their last reply to my email. I am assuming they still aren't even looking at F3 visas yet 😒

What is the NVC status? Is it Ready?

Mine is past NVC altogether (it's no longer with NVC)  because we already had an interview booked in 2020 but it was canceled cause of the pandemic. It's now with Montreal Consulate and they will be the ones rebooking not NVC

Yes, I guess the NVC status shows Ready or something once they moved to embassy for interview. My case also in Montreal embassy waiting for visa interview.

Did you have an interview canceled too or have you never had one booked yet? If so I assume they'll start with appointments that need to be rescheduled first. So hopefully they get to those soon so all those waiting behind us can start moving forward too. I wish we had some idea when they'd start looking at our visa types again.

Not cancelled. NVC expedited the case based on the medical background during the pandemic but Embassy not scheduled yet. So the case sitting idle with Montreal embassy last 7-8 months.

Oh ok. Well hopefully they get moving with family visas soon. We shall see. All we can do is wait unfortunately.

According to the report for March processed immigrant visas Montreal consulate has processed 5 F4 visas. I wonder if they are starting to book F3/F4 interviews. Otherwise how would’ve these ones been processed?

Apparently many other consulates in different countries have been processing F3/F4 applications since the ban was lifted in March.
