I don’t know if this is the right place to post this. I have a submitted ROC since March 2020 and I will be due to apply for citizenship in few weeks. My question is that, the evidence(s) I need to submit for N400 is it about me alone or for both myself and my wife just like I did during the ROC application? I am really confused here on what to submit for my N400 application. Thanks as you all respond.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

You are applying for citizenship alone, however, if you are applying under the 3 year rule you will be required to show certain marital evidence. If you apply online the system will guide you as to what  you need to upload. The n400 interview notice will also state what you need to bring to the interview if applying under this rule. As above, there is also a lot of information in the actual instructions which is always good to read before you start filling in stuff.

The documents needed to support your claim of eligibility will be about you alone. You then have the added burden of providing evidence of being in “marital union” with your spouse.

When I started my N-400 application I asked on here what sort of things I should send and I got many answers saying “just treat it the same way as ROC”. Great! Except I came on an IR-1 and thus didn’t go through ROC.

I didn’t send much, to be honest. Copies of our drivers licenses showing the same address, various utility bills through the time we have lived together - not every single bill but a few from each year to show the ongoing marriage - previous tenancy agreement, mortgage paperwork from when we purchased our home, car insurance documents with both of us listed, a handful of statements from our savings and checking accounts. I was approved with no issue whatsoever.

I filed online, supplied the bare minimum required documents to file the n400 and brought the rest with me to the interview. I was not asked for any documents at the interview
