I got my greencard sometime this month- our interview was last month on 5/24/07 and we were approved then (passport stamped etc). I haven't really checked the greencard other than for name etc, but upon closer looking a couple days ago... it says that I have been a resident since 5/24/06 and it expires 5/24/08. I'm wondering if it is correct, or if its a mistake since I'm an F1 student than did the AOS so I've been in the U.S since... 1999. What should I do in this instance? Just take it that it expires in 08, call USCIS (if possible?) about the dates, or??

Thanks a lot!

Jasmine and Patrick.

Errr.. That wasn't my question. I know that the cards are valid for 2 years and I have to file for removal of conditions 90 days before it expires. :P

My question was that I got approved on 05/24/07 (date of interview), but on the greencard it says that I've been a resident since 05/24/06 and it expires 05/24/08. I've been in the US since 1999 on an F1 visa. etc etc.

Good job answering the OP's question.

I would make an infopass appointment because you could run into some problems in the future. I believe your card should say 2007 as the date of issuance and not 2006.
