I hope someone can help, my question may be a bit obscure.

 

I have a job offer as a DoD contractor in Germany. My wife is waiting for her interview to remove conditions. I know USCIS lists exemptions to where time abroad can count towards a US resident’s time before filing for citizenship. I know working as a soldier or direct government worker applies, but what if you are a contractor working for a government agency? Does the exemption still apply, meaning she could come with me and not risk forfeiting her application to remove conditions?

How long will you be abroad?
