Updating Status at SSA

Hi! I just had my oath taking for naturalization last March 10. Is it possible to update my status at the SSA online, or it does it have to be done in person?

I dont think that it can be done in-person now. SSA offices are all closed. You have to file it via mail.

Best way is to file for passport first and then use that original passport book to apply for SSA. If you apply for SSA using original naturalization certificate, if its lost, you spend over $600 to replace it.

As a substitute for in person, the question was can it be done online, no. 
unless you have a name change or want to draw SS benefits imminently there is no urgency to do it anyway.
