Advice for expedite for interview?

Hello! I hope you're all doing well. I know this process is really tough, but hopefully we will all see more and more movement soon!

 

I was wondering if any of you have any advice with trying to get an expedite for an early interview appointment. I was stuck at NVC for months and they finally released the case to the embassy but the earliest appointment is not for another 4 months. 

 

Has anyone requested for an expedite successfully? And has anyone requested for an expedite with the Dakar Embassy?

I emailed them about it in September and got the following auto response. I didn't see a request expedite button on the site, and decided my circumstances didn't really merit an expedite either and decided to just wait. Hope this helps.

 

Dear Applicant,

 

You can request an expedited appointment. To request an expedited appointment, first schedule a regular appointment on the closest available date. Then, sign-in to your account, click Continue, select "Request Expedite" and follow the instructions. Expedited Appointments will only be granted at the Consular Sections discretion. Circumstances that may be considered for expedited appointments include:

 

* An immediate relative's death, grave illness or life threatening accident taking place in the United States.

* Urgent medical treatment for the applicant or their minor child.

* An applicant for a student or exchange visitor (F/M/J) visa whose I-20 or DS-2019 has a start date that is earlier than the first available visa appointment.

* An unexpected need to travel to the United States for urgent business purposes that is occurring within 10 days after the first available visa appointment.

* An unexpected visit that is of significant cultural, political, journalistic, sporting or economic importance that is occurring within 10 days after the first available visa appointment.

I haven't had any luck expediting but from other groups, I see that if you have an emergency situation or medical situations that need immediate attention you may email the expedited processing email address.

This may not be useful to you, but our expedite request got approved. Our reason was an upcoming deployment for the US citizen.

Hello i know every embassy is different but i was looking for the same click to make my own schedule date i am IR1/2 but i didn't see that available how would you make the appointment myself. i did write a letter to the embassy to expedite since they already approved from the NVC in one day. Thank you
