Honestly I don't know what to believe with Haiti US embassy anymore. My husband is in the immediate relatives category since I am a US citizen and I m not the only US citizen who s been waiting for over a year to have our spouse interview. The way I see it,  it just discrimination against Haitians .

I think it’s discrimination and corruption. I’m as also waiting on two immediate relative visas. I adopted from Haiti 7 years ago and it took 32 months- all the struggles and delays came from the US EMBASSY.

It gotten worse since Trump took office. I compared the number issued visas prior to his presidency , it was way more and things were not that hard. Sometimes I feel like that we are getting punished for doing things the right way.

I totally agree with all of that. We thought with Biden it’d get better and I think it might have (slowly) until they closed again this month. And with an unvaccinated daughter we can’t visit

I m praying for the senate and house to approve that lady for whatever position Biden nominated her for and hopefully we get a decent human with a loving heart who treats people with kindness, respect and love regardless of their race nor their countries. Last I check, we are all a guest in this world.
