Hello,

I am looking for some answers for my brother, who applied for K1 visa for his fiance. Our filling date was Oct 2020 and I saw the latest status of the processing times of CSC location. It will be coming up soon for Oct and my brother filled early Oct.

My question is that should he prepare to gather any documents ahead of time? Is there a guide somewhere that we can use to gather the documents for NOA2 if need be?

Thanks in advance.

It will be in pakistan but is the next step is they schedule interview?

After NOA2, it will go to NVC where they will assign a case number (call 2-4 weeks after NOA2 to get this case number), and depending on Islamabad embassy's backlog, they will process the application sooner or later and schedule an interview. Check out the attached image.

Thank you for that information. That is helpful.

follow-up question: NOA2 requests for additional documents such as taxes or support correct? or does it get send to nvc and it just states the approval.

NOA2 doesn't request anything.  Consulate instructions do and all is  carried to interview

Oh okay thank you.. one more question if you don't mind: so after that generally how long is the time between Noa2 and nvc and then interview?

Some people on VJ have been waiting for over a year.

Another follow up question my brother's fiance case went to California center and I just checked their processing time and they are currently doing August 29 2020 date. My brother's was Oct 6 2020.

Since someone mentioned some people have been waiting for over a year, is there anyone who have had their sent to California center and have a timeline for it. Or is there a time line I can look at for similar people?

I think you're confused.  The "year" I mentioned, is how long some approved petitions have been waiting at NVC to be sent to consulates that are not doing routine K-1 via interviews yet.  They have already been approved at the CSC.  The year is in addition to the petition approval time.

If your brother submitted his petition last October, he has quite awhile to wait.

Thank you for clearing the confusing. So that means most k1 are stuck at nvc state. Alright that gives me a course of action of what needs to be done at this point. Is there a place where I can look for country specific timelines for my country of origin?

Just the ones as reported by Visa Journey members, in the portal.

They don't publish data on who is waiting, by country, etc.
