I bring my noise-cancelling headphones. Really helps w/ the drone of the engines.

Ambien is good for the first night to make sure you get to sleep. I've had trips where I'd still be on Pacific time, that Ambien the first night really helps kick me into GMT.

I hate this "no liquids" rule. Totally done to keep us fearful and think TSA is doing something. A liquid binary explosive only exists in the movies, nowhere else.

I always bring those word searches..the ones where you look for the word and then circle them. Also trashy gossip magazines that I normally wouldn't buy. :) Definitely my mp3 player which reminds me I have to load up some new songs that my brother sent to me (play that funky music white boy :dance: ) lol.

GUM....so my eardrums don't pop.

Suprisingly I didn't have any jet lag at all on my last trip but that's 'cause I pretty much stayed on the schedule I"m on here, except there was no sunlight over there.

I guess I"ll try to find my blow up pillow. I definitely used it the last trip...made sleeping much easier!!! So what if I look like a dweeb. lol

Make your luggage unique looking so you don't have to try and identify yours from the 50 other bags going around the baggage carousel that look identical. You can wrap coloured electrical tape aroumd the handle or put decals on the bag. Something tied to the handle may or may not make it through the baggage handling on and off the plane so that isn't as effective. Make sure you put your name and address INSIDE your luggage as well as on the outside in case the outside tag gets torn off.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

My video iPod with a few movies loaded in it and my blow up pillow makes my trip so much easier. I am glad I don't have to worry about it any more. 7 trips in 3 years was enough!!

I'd definitely get something to sleep, since I not only have insomnia but I also can't sleep on motion, no matter how exhausted I am I can get to the point of napping, but it doesn't last long.

Comfortable clothes. I deeply regret wearing the pants I was wearing when I came from Brazil, if I could've taken them off on the plane and being pantless I would've

I recommend ambien for 8+ hour flights. Don't take it for short flights.

Anyone have a tip for a sore a$$ on long flights? It only happens when I fly coach :( Maybe a cushion or something?

7 days in HK with my mother is already too much. I hope they put us on opposite sides of the plane because the woman is like the energizer bunny when it comes to nagging....what brand noise cancelling headphones was that again?

I always get aisle seating. I made the mistake of being on a 10 hour flight in a window seat. I couldn't stand up or stretch my legs as often as I wanted. Talk about having an a$$ getting sore! :(

my boss sits on this http://www.brookstone.com/store/product.as...amp;prodtemp=t1

I don't know how feasable it is to put on a coach seat though since those things are so tiny to begin with.
