Affidavit of Support - Retirement Foreign Income

Hello,

 

I am the I-130 petitioner mother of a unmarried adult son and his derivative beneficiary child.

The I-130 petition, PD June 2018, was just approved last week.  

My husband and I are senior citizens, receiving retirement income from a foreign country. 

I have some rental income from properties in the U.S. and in a foreign country.

Our AGI is above the required amount for 4 persons.

I have all Tax Return Transcripts since 2015. 

 

- I am not sure if AOS would accept our Foreign Income.

-  Would the translations our Foreign Annual Income Statements, be accepted as proof of income ?  

 

Please advise.

If the income is reported on your taxes and is included in your AGI, then you should include it on the I-864 when it is time to file it.  

 

Currently petitions with PD prior to 22SEP14  are qualified for interviews.  You have about 3-4 more years before needing to submit the I-864.

Hello, you may want to look into getting a joint sponsor.
