Some of you may remember me from a while a go, I am Zena married to Rachid for 17 months now, we were having to wait for me to get citizenship before I could file for the visa. Finally ater 16 months I became a US citizen yesterday :dance: Today I sent off our I-130 paperwork :dance::dance: Our new journey begins.......I hope that I make it on to an interview list soon :thumbs:

03/29/2006 - Mailed I-130 04/06/2006 - NOA1

08/01/2006 - APPROVED

08/11/2006 - Received at NVC case number assigned

08/21/2006 - DS-3032 & I-864 fee Generated 08/22/2006 - Emailed choice of agent

08/25/2006 - Choice of agent accepted 08/28/2006 - IV bill generated

08/29/2006 - Mailed I-864 bill 09/09/2006 - Mailed IV Bill

09/16/2006 - Received I-864/09/18/2006 - Mailed Completed I-864

OMG Zena! That's great news. Your patience through all this has just astounded me. I'm glad you're finally moving toward your reunion, you've certainly waited long enough for it. I hope you've been reading everything in this forum even if you haven't been posting so you are prepared for what you will go through now. I want so bad to see you be one of those who actually succeeds at getting a marriage visa out of Morocco.

Wow, congrats on your citizenship Zena!!!! You'll probably be able to get the 10-year green card because you'll have been married 2 years by the time of your interview. That's wonderful!!! Just a little while longer and all your patience will have paid off :D

Hey Liz,

Thanks, I am pretty pleased to say the least. I have been reading VJ on and off all this time so hopefully I am up with everything and can make the rest of this process fairly smoothly. I have been lucky in that I have been to Morocco 4 times now and am planning my 5th trip as soon as soon I get my brand new US passport, hopefully this will be my last trip that I have to say good bye to Rachid.

Thank you Sharon, I hope that we get the 10 year green card too then once he has been here 3 years he will apply for citizenship and then we can be truly free with immigration forever.

06/10/06 Mailed AOS papers

07/06/06 Biometerics Apt

07/15/06 My offical wedding day....I know .....:-)
