Hi everyone,

I have been following this discussion quite regularly. I appreciate information everyone shares here, it helps a lot although every case and situation is different. There is no way to know anything for sure after every update or step through the immigration process.

Going forward, my wife's case had been pending since April 2017 for I-601 waiver, which was approved in Oct 2020. Then the pandemic hit and U.S. embassies were put on halt for visa processing. Not to mention the President's proclamation to ban IR-5 visa categories.

Passport and two photographs were submitted on Mar 24th with courier on receipt of email on Mar 19, 2021. Medical was done on April 5th( had to wait 15 days due to travel abroad)case was updated on April 12th for receipt of medical. It was last updated on Apr 22nd(what could that be?) status being shown as refused. No update since April 22nd.

Now I see a few people stuck with the same date.

Just wanted to join this discussion to share our case and keep everyone posted.

Thanks for sharing..  BTW when you say "case was update on Arpil 12 for receipt of medical"?  What exactly do you mean by that?

We did our 2nd medical on Apr 16th and the medical facility stated that they will send our medical in a week.  We saw on CEAC that status updated on Apr 22nd, but we never really received any confirmation that embassy has received our medical or photographs. Just my 2 cents, hope fully this waiting ends soon.

Since the Wilcare sent the medical via email on Apr 12th and the date was changed to Apr 12th on CEAC dashboard. Embassy never sends confirmation, it is only updates which presumably means they received.

It updated a second time on Apr 22nd, while status still says 'Refused', which I am not sure why. Only hoping it gets done sooner.
