Hello,

I just want to ask if a new processes has been put in place3 for the CR1 because looking at the visa journey step by step process for case at the NVC, it states you complete the DS-261 once the case gets to the NVC and receive your INOICE number and Case number but on the NVC website, it says to pay the AOS and IV FEE.

just wanted to make sure if I should follow that or if anyone has any suggestions please.

Below is the steps I see on the NVC please.

The DS-261 has not been required for some time.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

I completed the I-864 electronically, printed it, signed, and scanned as per the given guidelines and uploaded it. Once you upload it, the status would change to submitted, then accepted with a green check mark.

I also included the tax returns, W2s, and Proof of US domicile.
